We have taken a closer look at the above-mentioned product and subjected it to a practical test. Below, we provide detailed insights and impressions resulting from this evaluation. The Easy 4 all DIY slatted frame was securely delivered in a sturdy cardboard box. The most important manufacturer information is clearly displayed on the box – however, only a phone number is provided. Opening the box was straightforward and possible without any damage. The box itself was in perfect condition. A particularly positive aspect: it is made from recycled material – a clear plus in terms of environmental friendliness.

After opening the packaging and evaluating it, we take a closer look at the product’s workmanship. How high-quality are the materials used, and how do the feel and appearance rate?

No unpleasant odor was noticeable upon opening – a good sign of material quality.

Upon unpacking, the instruction manual was the first thing that caught our eye, but unfortunately it turned out to be somewhat confusing. The illustrations are unclear, particularly regarding the correct arrangement of the slats, and the visuals could also be more precise. As a result, assembly was more difficult than expected – a revised, simplified manual would be desirable here.

In terms of workmanship, it is noticeable that the precision of the pre-drilled holes leaves much to be desired – particularly at the joints of the long sides. The screws could only be inserted with considerable effort and the use of an Allen key. Unfortunately, some screw heads broke off in the process, even though they were not overtightened.
On a positive note, the quality of the wood stands out: it feels sturdy, is well finished, and pleasantly rounded.

The practical test

The practical test carries the greatest weight. Here, the product must undergo a variety of criteria and examinations by our independent testers. We test the functions promised by the manufacturer of the item under review.

As already mentioned, the unclear instructions made the assembly even more difficult. Although the manufacturer advertises easy assembly, our experience unfortunately did not reflect that. The imprecise pre-drilling of the screw holes also contributed to the assembly being laborious.

Nevertheless, the product was delivered in the specified size and color and gives an overall stable impression. The wooden and metal components are break-resistant and durable. However, excessive jumping or heavy rocking could affect its lifespan. Under normal use, however, the slatted frame withstands even greater loads well.

The firmness adjustment on the slats works perfectly and is clearly noticeable.

The head section can be adjusted in 13 positions – we can confirm this. However, the hinge occasionally got stuck when returning it to a flat position, which slightly reduces the comfort.
