The product was delivered in a cardboard box, inside which the product was wrapped in transparent film. The product box arrived in a larger shipping box, which was filled with paper to protect it from impact. The packaging was easy to open.

The manufacturer’s address and email address are printed on the back of the box so that you can submit a support request. Unfortunately, there is no phone number printed on the box, otherwise it would have received full marks here.

The knife sharpener arrived completelly and packaged, protected by plastic wrap and cardboard. The manufacturer’s contact details and email address can be found on the bottom of the product. Instructions for use are included, with a QR code that links to the CUTMORE® YouTube channel and a link to the shop, but this link is not active.

There was no smell noticeable when unpacking.

The color combination of black and red gives the product a high-quality look.

The knife sharpener is neatly crafted, fits comfortably in the hand, and has no dangerous edges.

The practical test

The practical test carries the greatest weight. Here, the product must undergo a variety of criteria and examinations by our independent testers. We test the functions promised by the manufacturer of the item under review.

The PROSHARP knife sharpener performed impressively in practical testing. We tested various knives with different degrees of wear. The results were consistently positive. The knife sharpener fits comfortably in the hand, and the wheel for adjusting the sharpening angle is easy to operate and does not jam. There are also two rubber stoppers on the bottom of the product that keep it stable on a surface, preventing it from slipping and causing injury. Slipping is also prevented by the design of the product, as the knife is guided through a protected slot.

Unfortunately, after use, the product already showed slight signs of wear, as the blade of the knife touches the edge of the product when pulling it through. Therefore, points are deducted here.

General

Our final evaluation category focuses on the price-performance ratio and the conformity with the online presentation. This category is weighted at 10%.

Upon reviewing this product and comparing it to the images on Amazon’s product detail page, we found them to be clearly consistent.
