The Duo Gel Comfort mattress from BeCo was securely delivered wrapped in foil and additionally protected by a sturdy cardboard box. The foil packaging includes the manufacturer’s contact details again, which is very helpful. When opening, it is advisable to be careful not to accidentally damage the mattress. The box arrived undamaged and features the logo as well as a QR code to the website. A particularly positive aspect is that recycled material was used for this packaging.

After unpacking the Duo Gel Comfort mattress, there was initially a slightly unpleasant inherent odor, which is, however, already mentioned in the enclosed information leaflet. It also assures that there is no health risk, so there is no major reason for complaint. The leaflet also provides useful advice on care, durability, and further tips.
In terms of workmanship and appearance, we could not detect any defects: no damage or untidy seams were visible.
The practical test

The Duo Gel Comfort mattress leaves an overall very positive impression. Both the dimensions and color design match the manufacturer’s specifications, although it is not 20 cm high, but only 18 cm. However, the workmanship appears very meticulous. The lying surface is pleasant and comfortable, although it could offer a bit more in terms of spinal support. We also had to note slight deductions regarding the gel foam technology and pressure relief.
What stands out, however, is the impressive breathability. All in all, it is a high-quality model that convinces in terms of comfort, but still has some room for improvement in certain areas.
