First impression of the packaging
In the first step of our THO testing process, the packaging is examined. Does it provide adequate protection for the product? Are the necessary manufacturer contact details and a service hotline printed on it?
Evaluation category | Result | Points |
---|---|---|
Quality Product Packaging | Well protected by cardboard box, but risk of damaging contents when opening the box | 90 |
Contact options available | Email address included in the enclosed bag | 90 |
Total | 90 |
The Greenfirst quilt from BeCo was delivered to us in a cardboard box. The microfiber duvet is also packed in a practical gray carrying bag. However, when opening the box, you have to be careful not to cut into the contents, as there is hardly any air between them and there is no warning printed on the shipping box.
Inside the carrier bag, there is a note with BeCo’s email address. It is also printed on the label on the duvet. However, we were unable to find a telephone number.

First impression of the product after opening the packaging
After opening the packaging and evaluating it, we take a closer look at the product’s workmanship. How high-quality are the materials used, and how do the feel and appearance rate?

Visual appearance | No visible defects / no open seams or other manufacturing defects | 100 |

The microfiber duvet arrived in perfect condition. Inside the carrying bag is an accompanying note with care and usage instructions. When unpacking, there was hardly any smell—the duvet has a typical textile smell, but it was not overpowering or strong.
The blanket is very neatly finished: bright white, no open seams, and the BeCo band on one side of the blanket. We couldn’t find any missing or open seams. The fabric also feels soft and supple to the touch. The filling is evenly distributed, ensuring consistent quality across the entire blanket.
The only minor drawback we would like to point out to manufacturers is that it would be helpful to indicate whether the duvet is a summer, winter, or transitional duvet (e.g., by adding this information to the label). Although customers know which duvet they have purchased, if they leave it in the closet with other duvets for a long time, they may no longer be able to tell which season the duvet is suitable for.
The practical test
The practical test carries the greatest weight. Here, the product must undergo a variety of criteria and examinations by our independent testers. We test the functions promised by the manufacturer of the item under review.
Evaluation category | Result | Points |
---|---|---|
Color & Size | Dimensions and color match perfectly | 100 |
Moisture absorption | Absorbs moisture well and dries quickly | 100 |
Noise level | No loud noises when turning and flipping | 100 |
Weight | Comfortable weight that does not interfere with movement | 100 |
Washability | Can withstand washing at 60°C and tumble drying without any problems | 100 |
Total | 100 |
The dimensions of the 135×200 cm Greenfirst duvet from BeCo match the specifications (stretched out lengthwise – slightly wider in some places widthwise, but within the tolerance range). The color white also matches the specifications.
The blanket absorbs moisture well. To test this, we wet one corner and wrung it out, then used a kitchen towel to check how damp the blanket still was. The moisture was absorbed well—the paper was barely wet and the fabric of the blanket felt relatively dry. Therefore, there are no complaints here.
There are no loud noises when turning and tossing, so at least you won’t be disturbed by the ceiling if you have restless sleep.
We washed the blanket at 60°C and then put it in the dryer. The seams held up well and the filling stayed in place.
After a warm summer night, the conclusion is as follows: the blanket keeps you comfortably warm without making you sweat. In terms of weight, the blanket is neither too heavy nor too light—which is nice if you don’t have any specific preferences in this regard. The microfiber duvet makes a great impression and gets full marks from us!

The Greenfirst duvet from BeCo is of good quality and is priced in the mid-range. We found other duvets of the same size and with normal suitability (not specifically for summer or winter) for significantly higher or significantly lower prices, or for the same price.
